Digital Media as a Factor of Information Security in Kazakhstan

Abstract

In the near future, digital mass media will become the main primary sources of information for the population of any state, therefore, the role of digital mass media in the process of ensuring information security will be significant. Digital media in the Republic of Kazakhstan are becoming an important political resource. The threat to the information security of Kazakhstan is posed by transnational network, new media, some of which lead to destructive consequences in the media system. The purpose of this study is to analyze the main trends in the development of new media in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The authors come to the conclusion that the subjects of the media space become active participants in the political process and act as a tool for constructing political reality. The resource potential of digital media makes it possible to create platforms for interaction, primarily between citizens, and then citizens
