SOCIAL PORTRAIT OF EMPLOYED POPULATION OF KAZAKHSTAN: TRENDS AND DYNAMICS OF CHANGE

Abstract

Employment of the population is one of the key indicators of labor market development. Particular importance for improving state policy approaches to promoting employment of the population, as well as increasing the economic activity of the population, is the research of the structure and characteristics of the employed population of the country at the current stage. The article presents an analysis of the main trends and characteristics of the employed population of Kazakhstan. Based on official statistics, the author revealed the age and gender composition of the employed population, distribution by type of economic activity, by place of residence, by employment status, as well as by position and profession. In addition, based on a comprehensive analysis of documents and information and analytical materials in the field of employment, the author put forward theses about the causes of the identified trends and features. In general, the article systematizes data on the main characteristics of the employed population in Kazakhstan and develops a number of practical recommendations.
