THE ROLE OF THE CSTO, SCO AND OSCE IN ENSURING SECURITY IN THE CASPIAN SEA

Abstract

The article discusses the issues of ensuring security in the Caspian Sea within the framework of the activities of such institutions as the CSTO, SCO, OSCE. The collective security system created within the framework of the treaty was supposed to play a stabilizing role not only regionally, but also internationally. The article reveals the history of the formation of an effective regional security structure aimed at countering modern challenges. The author comes to the conclusion that the role of Kazakhstan as an active participant in the main regional organizations is important for effective counteraction to the remaining threats.
