Abstract
The article describes the trend of transition from a centralized approach to a decentralized one in relation to regional policy. To say that the use of centralized or decentralized management in the state system is the only correct solution is simply meaningless. Each concept has its advantages, depending on the context of the political conjuncture. If the reforms of state power, namely decentralization, are designed to ensure a more dynamic development of market relations and democracy, then this transition predetermines the transformation of regional policy.
