Abstract
In the context of global challenges, the main strategic national resource of Kazakhstan, which is crucial for both economic prosperity and defense capability, is information and information technology. These assets are indispensable in various sectors of Kazakhstani society. However, insufficient information security creates significant risks, potentially leading to the leakage of vital political, economic, scientific and military information.
In the modern digital age, ensuring information security is of paramount importance due to the widespread adoption of digital technologies. Societies are forced to develop protection mechanisms against destructive influences that undermine humanitarian values. This article is devoted to cybersecurity policy in the media sector, in particular, the study of how media influences contributes to the emergence of cyber threats in Kazakhstan and what are the possibilities for their resolution. Analyzing the interaction of civil society and politics on social platforms, the authors assess the quality of the information disseminated, recognizing the potential for political manipulation.
Given the rise of cyber threats in the country, the study highlights the need for robust cybersecurity measures in the media sector. It recommends adaptive strategies that include technical defenses such as firewalls and artificial intelligence, as well as comprehensive policies, employee training, and response protocols. In addition, the article highlights the importance of involving the regulatory framework in the field of cybersecurity management, which contributes to the development of strategies to address these problems and protect information leakage in the digital age.
