Abstract

In the article the analysis of works of the European, Russian civil servants, travelers and explorers who have visited the modern Kazakh steppes in the XIII-XIX centuries, interested in history, economy, culture, traditions, beliefs of the local population, who have left and published special works on the basis of it has been presented. The scientific significance of their works was analyzed.

Among other things, the scientific work notes that almost all of these authors have a positive attitude to the developed economy, applied and oral culture, customs and traditions of the Kazakh people and their ancestors, who settled in the center of the Eurasian valley.

The main purpose of writing this article is to present the works of the named researchers, whose works have been analyzed, to the scientific community and modern reader
