Abstract
Abstract. In 2020, the «Nur Otan» party decided to hold primaries for the first time in our country. This political race took place as an intra-party primary and was held in a mixed format, where only party members could vote. There is every reason to believe that the composition of maslikhats and deputies of the Parliament of the country has been updated through the primaries. For example, there are 216 maslikhats of different levels in the country. The share of young people in it was 2% before the primaries were held in 2020. The share of the population in the Republic is 25% of young people. Through the primaries, the ruling party allocated a quota of 20% for young people and 30% for women. This contributed to the renewal of the Majilis and 216 deputies of maslikhats of different levels.
